Q:
What is a banding machine used for?
A: A banding machine is used to place a secure a paper or film band around material in such a manner as to bundle the stack for packaging (or other purposes) without marring or damaging the product.

Q: Is a banding machine the same as a strapping machine?
A: No, a banding machine is used for bundling finished products that usually weighs 10lbs or less, and uses paper or film material.  A strapping machine uses a rigid nylon material or steel bands and is usually made for heavier objects such as newspaper bundles etc.

Q:  Why should I choose a banding machine over my shrink wrapping machine?
A: There are many reasons why you should consider banding over shrink wrapping. Usually the cost of banding material is 50% less than conventional shrink wrapping. Also the energy cost to run a banding machine are a fraction of the cost to run a shrink heat tunnel. 

Q: Is banding more productive than shrink packaging?
A: Yes, your typical banding machine usually can band up to 35 bands per minute.

Q: Is banding more expensive than strapping?
A: No, banding is far less expensive than conventional shrink wrapping. Material costs average less than .01 per foot.

Q: Can you run different types of material through your banding equipment?
